Our Diwali Holiday (part UNO) - Rome

Hi there, Stranger.  (Imagine me groveling at your feet) I realize that I have not been the best at keeping up with the blog.  I am reminded of that quite frequently.  (KMAC!)  In my defense -things that were odd in the beginning are quite normal now.

Traffic Cow = normal
Pissing in the street = normal
Dancing with #46 India Forbes richest man = normal
Being invited to his house for a party = normal
Wearing Indian clothes = normal
India traffic = normal
Snakes = normal
Power loss = normal
EVERYTHING delivered = normal
Dead animal hanging visible everyday = normal
Having a driver, maid and gardener = normal
Roads falling apart = normal
Seeing my husband EVERYDAY = normal
. . .you get my drift?  So while I think I have nothing to post. . . I quickly forget that this is NOT normal to my stateside friends.  I will try to be more conscience of this.

So let me turn a new leaf. . . .
Drum roll. . . .

This week is the weeklong holiday of Diwali.  I had no clue what Diwali is.  I actually had to look it up.  According to google: it is a Hindu festival with lights.  It is associated with Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity and marks the begining of the finaicial year in India.
What does this mean to me?  It means that the girls get a week off of school and BAM!. . .we go to ITALIA!
